About Granddaddy Purple Feminized
Granddaddy Purple (GDP), also known as Grand Daddy Purp, is a famous indica strain developed by Ken Estes in 2003 in the San Francisco Bay Area. The strain was created by crossing the well-known strains Big Bud and Purple Urkle. The goal was to combine the best traits of both parent plants, resulting in a plant with striking deep purple flowers and powerful effects.
The genetics of Granddaddy Purple are diverse, including a mix of Afghan, Thai, and Skunk strains that contribute to its distinctive appearance and effects. The strain quickly gained popularity in California and beyond, thanks to its unique appearance with vibrant purple hues and frosty white trichomes, as well as its sweet, grape-like aroma and flavor.
